The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) wants a guarantee from the parties in the Norwegian parliament (Storting) against taxes being increased when a new government takes over after the upcoming elections.

NHO chief Ole Erik Almlid told E24 that the confederation has three demands for the new government.

One requirement is that the overall tax level must be kept at the current level or lowered.

“We want a guarantee from both sides that there will, at least, be no tax increase,” he said.

Almlid also wants a plan from politicians aimed at stimulating increased private Norwegian ownership throughout the country, as well as predictable framework conditions.
