NHO’s member survey shows that Norwegian business and industry are on the road to recovery after the corona crisis.

The companies signal an increased demand for labor, which the developments in unemployment and the number of vacancies also confirms, NHO wrote in a press release on Thursday.

Of the 2,725 companies that responded to NHO’s membership survey, only 11% considered the current situation to be bad. 42% find it good, while 47% consider the situation satisfactory.

Although 10% of the member companies answer that they have liquidity difficulties, and 7% fear bankruptcy, the figures are the lowest in almost a year and a half – since the corona crisis started.

“Even though Norwegian business and industry have still not recovered from the corona crisis, the improvement continues,” chief economist Øystein Dørum in NHO wrote.
