Employees of nine Expert stores may go on strike on Friday
Retail and Office and Expert are in mediation trying to negotiate a collective agreement for nine stores. If they don’t get an agreement, all the employees of the nine stores will go strike.
Retail and Office and Expert met at the Public Mediator’s office at ten o’clock Monday. Retail and Office demands a collective agreement for eleven stores, type HK-Nytt.
However personnel manager of Expert, Morten Hovland, says to HK-Nytt that the chain will sign the collective agreement for two of these stores. The stores in question are Expert Colosseum in Oslo and Expert Leknes. This means there are nine stores remaining.
The nine other Expert stores are: Expert City and Expert Klingenberg in Oslo, Expert Lade and Tiller in Trondheim, and the Expert stores in Stjørdal, Levanger, Leksvik, Namsos and Sarpsborg.
Hovland said he looks forward to Monday’s mediation and claimed that the Expert wage agreement that includes a bonus, is better than HK’s collective agreement.
– The employees want our agreement, he said.
