Nord Trøndelag buys most Christmas aquavit

December is the month that Vinmonopolet sells drinks with most alcohol and aquavit is booming.

Inhabitants of North Trøndelag are narrowly the most aquavit hungry – infront of people from Oppland.
According to sales statistics for December 2015 from Vinmonopolet.

Broken down by county and population clear differences emerge. In Vest-Agder and Rogaland, in December last year, they sold respectively 0.04 and 0.05 liters of aquavit per capita.

Inhabitants of North Trøndelag bought four times as much aquavit on pole with 0.19 liters per capita, followed closely by people from Oppland who bought 0.16 liters per person.

Inhabitants of North Trøndelag are also the least concerned with bubbles in the glass.

The county had bottom-listing in sales of sparkling wine with modest 0.12 liters per capita. Oslo tops the statistics with 0.35 liters of sparkling wine in December.

Same as last year, the most wine is sold in December. The inhabitants of Troms topped here with almost two liters per person (1.89 liters).

Troms also topped the overall sales statistics for the Christmas month in 2015 with 3.22 liters of wine and spirits.

Nordland follows close behind with 3.14 liter, while the cross-border østfoldingene and Agder counties are the most modest in their purchases at Vinmonopolet.
