Norway is providing 10 billion kroner in guarantees and loans to offshore wind projects
The Norwegian state is providing a loan guarantee of NOK 1.5 billion for a third transformer platform on the giant offshore wind project Doggerbank.
Export Finance Norway (Eksfin) is providing a loan guarantee of GBP 130 million, equivalent to NOK 1.5 billion after it became clear that the developers Equinor and Irish SSE will buy the transformer platform for the offshore wind project Doggerbank from Norwegian Aibel.
In total, Eksfin has now given guarantees worth more than NOK 5 billion for Norwegian offshore wind projects related to the mega project Doggerbank.
With the NOK 1.5 billion guarantee included, Norway is providing a total of NOK 10 billion in guarantees and loans for offshore wind projects.
