The Norwegian government is increasing support to global work against the corona pandemic by NOK 2 billion.

Thus, Norway’s total contribution to the equitable distribution of vaccines, rapid tests, and treatment options for the viral disease through the initiative Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-A) amounts to NOK 4.5 billion.

“This support shows that we are serious about the need to fight the pandemic globally,” Minister for Development Aid Dag-Inge Ulstein (KrF) noted.

NOK 1 billion of the new funds will go to the International Finance Facility for Immunization (IFFIm) financing mechanism.
