A total of 1,153,283 passengers traveled with Norwegian in March, a decrease of 61 percent compared with March last year.

Capacity was reduced by 53 percent compared with March last year, and total air traffic decreased by 60 percent.

-“The extremely rapid development of the covid-19 pandemic significantly affected Norway’s air traffic figures this month. As a result of global travel restrictions and a large fall in demand, Norwegian had to cancel flights on a continuous basis in March,” says CEO Jacob Schram.

On March 10, about 15 percent of the planned capacity was reduced. On March 16, capacity was reduced by up to 85 percent, and as of March 25, most departures were canceled.
