The number of newly registered electric commercial vehicles has skyrocketed since the New Year. Enova is now adjusting the support rate down from 40% to 30%.

Today, the support rate amounts to 40% of the additional costs. From May 19, there will be a support rate of 30%, Enova states in a press release.

Enova SF is owned by the Ministry of Climate and Environment and contributes to reduced greenhouse gas emissions, development of energy and climate technology, and strengthened security of supply.

Those who apply for support before May 19 will receive support at the current support rate.

“We see that there have been several commercial vehicle models on the market and that this type of vehicle is becoming the preferred choice. Our support schemes have worked in the right way, and we can therefore reduce the support rates somewhat,” marketing manager for transport Gunnel Fottland in Enova said.

Maximum support

Enova will maintain the maximum support of NOK 50,000 for the purchase of an electric commercial vehicle. At the same time, the support for chargers continues.

Since the business support scheme for the purchase of electric commercial vehicles was launched in August 2019, support has been given for over 20,000 vehicles.

So far, in 2021, the proportion of newly registered electric commercial vehicles has been 20.6% in January, 15.7% in February, and 18% in March.
