Outgoing Minister of Finance Jan Tore Sanner believes that an “ordinary family” will pay almost NOK 16,000 less in taxes if the state budget proposal is adopted, compared to the tax level in 2013.

The Minister of Finance presented the figure in the speech in connection with the presentation of a proposal for a new state budget.

In the budget, the government proposes, among other things, to reduce taxes for those with the lowest income and a separate job deduction that can give those under 30 years more than NOK 5,000 lower taxes.

“With the government’s proposal for the state budget for next year, an ordinary family will pay almost NOK 16,000 less in taxes compared to the tax level from 2013,” Sanner said.
