Norwegian Competition Authority extends decision deadline on DNB’s Sbanken acquisition until October 28

The decision on DNB's Sbanken acquisition will be postponed until October 28 because the Norwegian Competition Authority and DNB are in dialogue on remedial measures.

The decision on DNB’s Sbanken acquisition will be postponed until October 28 because the Norwegian Competition Authority and DNB are in dialogue on remedial measures.

DNB has put forward proposals for measures that they believe will alleviate the Norwegian Competition Authority’s preliminary concerns, as expressed in the authority’s notification from August 26.

Pursuant to the Competition Act, the Competition Authority’s case processing deadline is thus extended by 15 working days, and the Authority must decide by October 28 whether the acquisition will be approved, whether remedial measures will be necessary, or whether the acquisition will be stopped.
