Norwegian will establish a base with two aircraft and 60 employees at Rome Fiumicino Airport. This will be the airline’s first base in Italy.
The company will have two Boeing 737-800 aircraft at the base, which will be flying to various destinations in northern Europe.
– The opening of this base will increase Norwegian`s presence in the region and contributes to the local economy through more jobs and increased tourism, said Norwegian CEO Bjorn Kjos.
In addition to Fiumicino , Norwegian today is flying to the Italian airports Catania, Milan Malpensa, Olbia, Palermo, Pisa and Venice Marco Polo.
