Norwegian has signed a letter of intent with Boeing for the purchase of 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

The agreement also includes an option to purchase an additional 30 aircraft.

The 50 aircraft are planned to be delivered in the period between 2025 and 2028, which coincides with the expiry of existing leasing agreements and thus entails a limited increase in the company’s aircraft fleet.

The parties aim to complete and sign the final agreement by the end of June 2022, the company stated on Monday.
