Norwegian Air Resources is terminating the agreement with OSM Aviation and becoming a permanent employer for 3,000 employees.

Norwegian’s ownership in OSM Aviation will also cease, the company announced in a press release.

“It is a big and important step on the road for Norwegian that we take over the entire and full responsibility for the companies where our flying staff are employed,” writes Norwegian’s CEO Jacob Schram.

The company’s flying personnel in Spain, England and the USA have so far been employed by OSM Aviation. They will now come under Norwegian on an equal footing with employees in Norway, France and Italy.

Laid-off employees in these countries cannot return to work until traffic picks up again.
