Oil service companies join together

The Oil service companies Technip and FMC Technologies will merge. The Norwegian departments of the new company will have around 4,500 employees in total.

According to E24,  the merger was announced on Thursday morning. The new company will be named TechnipFMC and will be listed on the New York and Paris stock exchange. Based on the stock prices, it is valued  to 13 billion dollarsabout 110 billion kroner.
Technip has, according to the company,  over 700 employees in Norway, while FMC Technologies has about 3.800 employees.
