The municipality of Oslo is liable to have a billion deficit if the state does not allocate more money than it can with the current support schemes.
City Councilor Raymond Johansen (Ap) tells Klassekampen that the capital is facing a deficit of NOK 2.4 billion as a result of massive revenue failure and increased expenses due to the virus outbreak.
Under the support schemes that the government has established, the municipality still faces a deficit of about NOK 1.1 billion.
-“How hard we are hit is up to the government. I have very high expectations for a revised national budget. We need at least NOK 1 billion more,” says Johansen.
