Oslo is now the only city in Norway that has reduced opening hours for nightspots due to the corona measures.
Restaurants and pubs in the capital can currently only serve alcohol until 23:30 and the doors must be closed at midnight.
Now the municipality is to make a new assessment of opening hours for pubs before the summer holidays, TV 2 reports.
The City Council Department for Business Development and Public Ownership in Oslo Municipality informs the channel that the Covid-19 regulations on opening hours are under continuous review
“This will be decided shortly and before the summer holidays,” Communications Manager Ninja Sandemose told TV 2, on behalf of the City Council.
She says they will get clarification on when a new assessment will be made before the weekend.
The other big cities, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Kristiansand and Tromsø have had normal opening hours at the night spots for several weeks now, and have not received reports that this has been problematic.
