Princess Märtha Louise will put her Bloksberg property for sale over Easter. The property at Hankø, referred to as ‘Kong Olav’s summer paradise’, is valued at NOK 35 million.

With the property’s panoramic views of Hankøsundet, long shoreline, pier, boathouse and 15 acres, the property is testament to the benefits of being a member of European royalty. The home is dated from 1918, with a saltwater pool and slate-covered patio’’ said broker,Torbjørn Ek, of Advokat Ek to Finansavisen newspaper.

“We’ll be putting it on the market after Easter. The rate is NOK 35 million and we won’t change it, but perhaps we’ll do something about the price. It’s not finally decided.

We are open to bids anyway’’ said Ek.

The building comprises 400 square meters, consisting of a main house on two floors, and a guesthouse. There are several living rooms, eight bedrooms, and a cable car from the main house to the pier for the transport of goods and luggage.‘’ Can confirm that the property is well maintained and that it is in good condition. There is no luxury standard, but the building is good, so it is a very good starting point’’ said Ek.

The then Crown Prince Olav bought Bloksberg in 1947. After King Olav passed away in 1991, King Harald inherited the property. Princess Märtha Louise took over the place in 2001.
