Association (Fellesforbundet) takes out another 1,000 members on strike from the firstcoming Saturday. Outside a reopened hotel in Oslo there has been testy mood between strikers and the hotel management for several days in a row.
A number of strikers from Association also blocked guests from entering the Radisson Blu Hotel at Holberg space in Oslo. The hotel opened its doors again the day before after they managed to gather enough unorganized workers to maintain normal hotel operations.
Unions believe it is strikebreaking, something both the hotel management and the Norwegian Hospitality organization does not agree on.
A toddler family with baby were among those who Friday tried to get into the hotel, but the main entrance was packed with strikers who blocked the road. This led to testy exchange of words and crying children.
Several other guests reacted with anger when they also struggled to get into the hotel.
Seven new counties
Firstcoming saturday another 925 members stops working.
– Then we have removed all the counties in the country, says Communications in Association , Vidar Grønli, said.
There are counties Aust-Agder, Vest-Agder, Sogn og Fjordane, Østfold, Telemark, Hedmark and Oppland.
