Much sun and tourists from Asia contributed to lifting the turnover of the Fløibanen by 15 percent and contributing to the best results ever, last year.

The iconic cable car that starts close to Bryggen and takes passengers up to Fløien, 320 meters above sea level, had almost 200,000 more passengers last year, compared to the previous year, writes Finansavisen.

Turnover was 97.8 million, 15 percent higher than the year before. Of that money, 32 million was net profit at the end of the year was. That is 10 million more than in 2017 and the track’s best result ever.

“We are very pleased. That the number who traveled with us rose so much is partly due to a summer with a lot of good weather, but also an increased influx of tourists and local users on the course,” says CEO Anita Nybø.
