Christian Hoel, chain director for Coop Extra, will become the head of Rema 1000 Norway from January 1, 2024.
Tom Kristiansen, the current head of the grocery chain, will continue as CEO until Hoel takes over the position.
“I look forward to having Christian on board to lead Norway’s best grocery chain,” CEO Ole Robert Reitan of Reitan Retail, who is also chairman of the board of Rema 1000, stated.
Hoel is resigning as chain director in Coop Extra with immediate effect.
