Now it costs almost NOK 9,200 on average to rent a studio apartment. But prices fell slightly in Oslo, figures from Utleiemegleren show.

The average price of one-room apartments was NOK 9,188 in March, which is an increase of 6% from the previous month, Utleiemegleren wrote on Wednesday.

At the same time, prices were almost unchanged compared to March last year.

The student cities of Trondheim (30%) and Bergen (13%) have registered the fastest growth. In contrast, in Oslo, the price of renting studio apartments fell by 4%.

Vibecke Lyse Augdal in Utleiemegleren says this may be due to families with young children wanting more space. At the same time, studio apartments are in demand by both students and foreign workers.

I would love to pay that rent. That’s 991.61 in US Dollars. My rent in Los Angeles is $2700 for a one-bedroom. That’s NOK 24,089.78.
