The Rolls Royce Group has decided to sell the Bergen Engines plant. It is unclear what will happen to the factory’s 770 employees.

Rolls Royce has gone through the types of engines the factory produces and concluded that they do not fit into the company’s portfolio, Sysla writes on Friday.

According to Jon Erik Røv, acting CEO of Bergen Engines, Rolls Royce has signaled that they want to sell the entire business. The sales process starts on Monday.

In recent years, Bergen Engines has been through several rounds of cuts and layoffs. The last offer for final packages expired in January this year.
