The Russian-owned bank Amsterdam Trade Bank (ATB) was declared bankrupt by a Dutch court on Friday.

The bank is registered in the Netherlands and is a subsidiary of the Russian Alfa Bank.

The Dutch central bank confirmed the bankruptcy. On its website, it wrote that customers who have deposits with the bank would be covered up to 100,000 euros according to the country’s guarantee system for bank deposits.

ATB was established in 1994 and had about 23,000 customers.

The bank recently condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
