Salmon Prices Down 6 Percent
The export price of fresh Norwegian salmon dropped 5.9 percent last week.
The price of frozen salmon, however, increased by 8 percent.
The export price of fresh salmon last week stood at 55.56 kroner per kilogram, while the price of frozen salmon stood at 56.67 kroner per kilogram, according to statistics from the Statistics Norway .
The export quantities of fresh, refrigerated, and frozen salmon went up in the same week nonetheless. 16,367 tons of fresh or refrigerated salmon were exported, 4.7 percent more than the week before. Meanwhile frozen salmon experienced at 0.6 percent increased with 316 tons.
The price and quantity of salmon remains at a higher level compared to last week last year.
