SAS closes down its crew residences in Stavanger and Trondheim

Sas to close its crew bases in Stavanger and Trondheim from New Year, according to E24. The employees will be offered work from Oslo.

The airline informed its Norwegian cabin crew about the closure on Monday afternoon, writes, E24. 

According to an internal email the newspaper has been given access too, SAS offered a travel arrangement with the opportunity to work from Oslo Airport instead. This plan will last for 3 years. 

-”We are currently experiencing major challenges with covid-19 and tight finances and therefore feel compelled to implement the closure of the bases quickly.”, as stated in the message to the employees. 

Press manager, John Eckhoff, of SAS confirmed the closure to E24, but has no further comments.
