SAS with improved performance, but still got a deficit

SAS Group had a profit before tax of minus 309 million Swedish kroner  in the period from November to January. This amounts to a sharp reduction in the deficit.
The first quarter is seasonally the weakest during the financial year,  the airline writes in their comments on the figures.
“It’s still an improvement of 527 million Swedish kronor compared with the previous year. The causes of the improvement are commercial progress, significantly lower fuel costs and the effects of austerity measures, “the company said.
