The number of overnight stays at hotels, campsites and cottages in Norway has increased since last year. Especially the hotels in Oslo their numbers are going up.

In August, almost 5 million commercial overnight stays were registered in Norway, up 5.2 percent from August last year, according to statistics from Statistics Norway.

The main explanation for the increase is the increased number of hotel stays in Oslo.

The average price for a hotel room was NOK 1,008 in August this year, roughly unchanged from August last year.
