Several billion NOK will be used to improve the Norwegian roads in 2016. That means the employment of over 4,000 people.
On Thursday Minister of Transport Ketil Solvik-Olsen and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Anniken Hauglie presented  allocations to NCA, National Rail and the Public Roads Administration in the state budget in 2016.
For the Public Roads Administration almost 4.2 billion will be set aside for the maintenance and renewal of state roads this year. Re-asphalting of between 1.250 and 1.300 km of the highway is a part of the program.
– 2015 was the first year that the decay didn’t increase, which is positive in itself. In addition, it is satisfying we that this year we will have 1.3 billion NOK to  use to reduce the decay, Director of NCA, Terje Moe Gustavsen, says.

The Road Administration expects that 4,300 people will be employed in this project.
