Shipowner Knut Ulstein Kloster has passed away, 91 years old. This is confirmed by his family to NRK.
Ulstein Kloster is described as a visionary and a legend in the cruise industry after building up Kloster Cruise and later founding the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) in 1966 together with Ted Arison.
Kloster grew up in Oslo. He was a ship engineer with a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
