Spanish FCC Construcción A.S. gets the assignment to build the new E6 from Ulsberg to Vindåsliene in Trøndelag. The contract has a value of NOK 2.6 billion.
The 25-kilometer-long route will be laid east of today’s E6 and will be mainly built as a four-lane highway outside Berkåk, Nye Veier writes in a press release.
The speed limit will be 110 kilometers per hour. The project includes two tunnels of 1.3 and 2 kilometers, as well as several bridges and concrete structures.
Planned construction starts in the autumn of 2020, and the new E6 route will be open for use in 2023.
