Statistics Norway: In 2021, mountain cabins were the most expensive in Hemsedal

The median price for a mountain cabin in Hemsedal was NOK 4.3 million in 2021. Cabins by the sea were the most expensive in Tønsberg.

A turnover record was set for cabins and holiday homes last year. A total of 16,500 cabins and holiday homes were sold, according to Statistics Norway (SSB).

Among the mountain cabin municipalities, Hemsedal, Tinn, and Øyer had the highest median prices. In Hemsedal, half of the cabins cost NOK 4.3 million or more.

Most cabin sales were registered in Trysil – a total of 439 cabins. 

For cabins by the sea, Tønsberg, Sola, and Kragerø had the highest median prices. Half of the cabins in Tønsberg cost NOK 5.8 million or more.
