The export price of fresh salmon rose by as much as 10.3% last week, compared with the week before.
On average, the price per kilo of fresh and chilled salmon was NOK 71.77 last week, according to Statistics Norway (SSB).
Measured in volume, 25,735 tonnes of fresh salmon were exported in week 50. That is 9.1% more than the week before when the volume amounted to 23,597 tonnes.
Last week, 578 tonnes of frozen salmon were exported, and the price was NOK 64.23 per kilo. That is a more moderate increase of 1.7% from the week before.
