Statoil has sold operations in the US
Statoil has completed the sale of its operations in the Marcellus shale in the US state of West Virginia.
July 8th, Statoil sold holdings in an area of about 250 square kilometers of the US to energy company EQT Corporation for $ 407 million, equivalent to 3.3 billion Norwegian kroner, according to a press release from the company.
Statoil’s equity production from operations of approximately 9,300 barrels per day in the first quarter of 2016.
The company retains its operated assets in the state of Ohio and its partner-operated position in the Marcellus.
