On Monday, the Swedish government presented a proposal for a support package for the Swedish people at the cost of 14 billion Swedish kroner.

The funds should, among other things, be aimed at reducing the fuel tax and increasing housing benefits for families with children.

In addition, the government proposes to introduce a one-off subsidy of 1,000 Swedish kroner to all private individuals who own a car. For car owners who live in sparsely populated and rural areas, the one-off payment would amount to NOK 1,500.
