As of Wednesday, March 18, Norwegians will receive their tax statements for 2019.

A new tax return that should be easier to understand also means a new date for when the tax return arrives:

The very first Norwegians will have access to the 2019 tax return on Wednesday 18 March.

Sent out continuously
According to press officer Merete B. Jebsen in the Tax Administration, just under 200,000 people will be able to check their tax return on Wednesday.

Then the systems will provide the returns to the rest of the taxpayers:

– The tax notice will be sent out continuously from March 18 until March 31, Jebsen tells Dinside.

In how many groupings will the tax statements be sent out?

– “As of now, between 7 and 10 groups have been added. We have the opportunity to continuously adjust the number of days we send out and to how many,” says Jebsen.

Wait for message
Are you therefore uncertain when you can go in and check your tax figures?

The tax authorities say that most people will be notified by email when their tax notice is ready.

– We send SMS to the people we do not have an email address for. For those who are not registered electronically and who thus receive the tax return on paper, the filing starts on March 31, says Jebsen.
