Never has the interest in travelling with us been greater,  CEO of Hurtigruten Daniel Skjeldam says. With a growth of 42 percent in 2015 Hurtigruten made its best results ever.

We have succeeded with our internal restructuring, while we have focused strongly on innovation and on the development of new products that focus on local food and active travel experiences, says Skjeldam.
Hurtigruten’s operating profit before depreciation and taxes increased from 652 million in 2014 to 923 million kroner in 2015. This means a historical growth of 42 percent.
Hurtigruten also made a record in sales of excursions with 224 million NOK. Most of these profits will be returned to local excursion providers.
The greatest growth is in the number of travelers coming from Scandinavia. Meanwhile, the US market grew by 10 percent. Hurtigruten also witnessed an increase of 17 percent on Chinese travelers.
– The good results for Hurtigruten for 2015 also reveals the enormous potential for Norwegian tourism,  Daniel Skjeldam says.
