The Customs Service warns against buying cheap, pirated toys online. The toys may contain harmful chemicals.

– “I would be sure that what I buy for my children are safe products that do not contain potentially harmful chemicals and toxins, which we know are part of cheap production,” says Customs Service Post Office Manager Lars Teigen to TV 2.

It is difficult to judge whether toys are fake or not, they are not stopped in customs.

“There is an incoming flow of these products all year, and there are many fake products under the Christmas tree this year in
Norwegian homes – it is quite obvious,” says Teigen.
