The government will ease border control so that foreign seasonal workers can more easily contribute to Norwegian agriculture, TV 2 reports.
– We are now making changes so that people who have a work contract for them to work in Norway, can come to Norway, says Justice and Emergency Minister Monica Mæland (H) to the channel.
As it stands now, the entry ban can have serious consequences for the Norwegian agricultural sector, which risks experiencing extensive shortages of foreign seasonal workers.
Quarantine rules will continue to apply, the Minister stresses.
