In its new general practitioner sensing plan, the Government plans to increase the subsidy. “GPs should want to grow old in their profession,” says Bent Høie.

“We will ensure that there will be more GPs, that they have shorter patient lists and that they have more predictable working days,” says Minister of Health Bent Høie (H).

This afternoon, he presented the government’s new action plan for the GP service.

In the action plan, the Government plans to increase the GP scheme by NOK 1.6 billion until 2024. The aim is to make the GP profession more attractive, to ensure better quality and to facilitate a more correct division of work between doctors and other health professionals in the office.
