The decline in the labor market may be slowing down, preliminary figures from Statistics Norway show.

As of April, there was a large decline in the number of jobs in this country as a result of the Coronavirus crisis. The arrows continued to point downwards in the coming months, but the figures for June and July indicate that the decline is about to slow down, preliminary figures from an experimental monthly statistics from Statistics Norway show.

For June and July, the job fall appears to have stabilized at around 5 percent, compared with the same months in 2019.

However, there are major differences between the industries. In accommodation and catering, almost every fourth job, 23.8 percent, disappeared from last July to July this year.
