The Red Cross has lost between 80 and 100 million kroner in revenue because the organization has not been able to participate with medical staff at this year’s several canceled festivals

This is shown by the Red Cross’ preliminary calculations, writes NRK.

The local associations in the Red Cross have received NOK 45 million in loss of income from canceled festivals and other events they were to participate in until the end of September.

Now the organization hopes that they can recover some of the loss of income from the government’s second crisis package for volunteers.

– We hope that they will be compensated a lot of this and are happy that the government has listened to our input here, says communications manager Øistein Mjærum in the Red Cross.

The application deadline for this crisis package expires on 15 September.
