The lifting of the nightclub and bar closures in Oslo has gone smoothly, and there is no basis for introducing a new closure in Oslo, according to the branch.

The closures were introduced in the fight against the Coronavirus outbreak in Oslo and was lifted on May 6, but the municipality has been following closely. From May 6 to May 21, the agency carried out 392 inspections, figures show Aftenposten have gained access to.

Eight serving places have violated the infection control rules and one has lost the pavement. The result is good enough for Victoria Marie Evensen (Ap), city council for industry and ownership.

– “The overall picture is very good, and I would like to pay tribute to the industry for the way they have handled the reopening. There is no basis for introducing new closure bans,” says Evensen.

The current serving time in Oslo is till 23:30 and the doors must be closed at midnight.
