Unemployment up 4 per cent

There were 113,000 unemployed in Norway in November 2019, meaning that the unemployment rate was 4 per cent. This is up 0.2 percentage points from August, according to Statistics Norway.

Compared to August, there were 7,000 more unemployed in November, according to Statistics Norway.

The figures are from the Labour Force Survey (LFS). The increase is within the margin of error.

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) shows average unemployment over three-month periods. The unemployment figures for November are thus an average of the months of October, November and December.
