Vinmonopolet will be open later on Saturdays
The Vinmonopolet opening hours are to be pushed from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays, the government suggests. FRP secures a majority for the proposal at Parliament.
– “This is about solving everyday problems. Everyday life has changed for people. Now the government is proposing to change Vinmonopol’s opening hours so that we can shop until 16:00 on Saturdays,” says parliamentary representative Mari Holm Lønseth (H), who is a member of the health and care committee.
Today, Vinmonopolet may be open between 08:30 am and 15:00 on Saturdays and days before public holidays. As of September 2019, all of Vinmonopolet’s 332 stores were open on Saturdays. Most of them open at 10 am and close at 3 pm.
