VIPPS warns against scammers
On Vipps’ websites, they now warn against scammers who try to trick customers into entering information by sending out SMSs claiming to be from Vipps.
– “It is phishing that tries to trick users for information. Unfortunately, some people have followed instructions and been cheated from money,” says Hanne Kjærnes, press contact at Vipps, to VG.
She further explains that the scope is not large and that they are considering what is going to happen to those who have been fooled already.
– It is important that those affected contact us, she adds.
