The trade organization Virke believes that e-commerce in this country can rise to more than NOK 60 billion this year, which represents an increase of 25 percent.
According to Dagens Næringsliv, e-commerce increased by as much as 57.7 percent in April, the first full month after the Coronavirus shutdown. Overall, from January to May, it has increased by almost 30 percent.
– “But still, e-commerce is significantly smaller than retail stores. E-commerce accounts for almost 20 percent of all retail trade – trade excluding grocery and gas stations – in Norway,” says Gerhard Anthun in Virke e-commerce.
