Starting on February 20th, a web-based service to pay for driving tests will be available.
According to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, it will be cheaper to use the ordering service to pay for a practical test online than at a vehicle license office.
“If you are taking a driving test somewhere other than at a licensing office, for example for a motorcycle, you also do not need the extra trip to the licensing office,” says senior adviser Bujar Llukai at the Roads Administration.
It is possible to pay for a test in advance. The fee for tests before 2020 must be paid in the usual way, either at a traffic station or to the account number stated in connection with the fee.
As of February 20th, all driver’s license candidates will be notified online about payment the day before the test.
Currently, one must remember to bring a receipt for payment when taking a test. Soon, the receipt will be redundant, when all parts of the service have been fully developed, states the Public Roads Administration.
