One employee at the coronavirus testing station at Bergen Airport Flesland has tested positive.

Infection tracing is underway, Bergen Municipality announced on Friday.

Close contacts have been contacted and must be quarantined.

“There is little danger that travelers have become infected since the employees use full infection control equipment when they carry out tests,” infection control chief Egil Bovim noted.

However, he asked travelers to be aware of symptoms and have a low threshold for testing. The testing station was immediately washed down.
