AstraZeneca will not manage to deliver as many vaccine doses as planned. The company cut deliveries in week 8 by more than a third, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) warns.
On Sunday evening, AstraZeneca announced that the delivery coming at the end of week 8 has been changed from 65,565 doses to 40,800 doses, Knut Jønsrud at the FHI told news bureau NTB.
Thus, the planned distribution to the municipalities will have to be changed.
“These doses should have been distributed at the beginning of week 9. The FHI is working on replanning the distribution. It (the new distribution plan) will be published as soon as it is ready,” Jønsrud said.
“A reduction for week 8 will be compensated with an increase later in March,” Jønsrud added.
Thus, deliveries in March will not be reduced overall, he reassured.
