Avalanche danger warnings have been issued for large parts of Norway. The Rescue coordination center (Redningskoordinasjonssenter) asks people to be careful.
The winter holidays are approaching, and many people plan to go to the mountains.
But people must frequently check the weather forecast and the danger of avalanches, according to rescue services.
Among other things, a large avalanche danger warning was issued for Western Norway on Thursday.
In Møre og Romsdal, the danger level is now set at 4, which is the second-highest level. The danger will also increase going forward, according to YR. They ask people to follow updates on varsom.no.
In large parts of Southern Norway, the risk of avalanches is great, the Rescue coordination center reports on Twitter. They recommend staying away from avalanche terrain.
